How It All Started

Well since this is my first post, I thought I would get it started with a few pictures of my latest project - 1937 Willys Sedan. I just recently completed a 1958 VW Karmann Ghia Coupe, which took me the better part of 10 years to complete. I know there is no similarity between these two, but I have been thinking about doing a street rod for quite a while now.
I got the '37 from my dad, who has a few too many projects of his own ('37 Topolino, '47 Anglia Tourer, '48 Anglia Roadster, '58 Popular, '53 Austin Ute, etc..). So he knew I wanted a new project and figured that we could work on this together.
My original plans (although they will probably change) are to do as much of the car myself as possible. I will probably outsource most of the chassis and suspension components, but install myself. I am planning on going the air ride route (Fatman IFS and Art Morrison 4-link), backed by an Art Morrison frame.
Since I got the car in my garage, I have basically just been disassembling it down to bare bones so it can be media blasted and primed. The car is very solid, except a few rusty spots in the bottom of the back doors. Anyway, here are some pics of how it all started:

What a fine piece of machinery you have there, wish I could have one of those in my garage. Oh wait....
